Pride Month Celebrations

Pride Month is about acceptance, equality, and celebrating those in the LGBTQ+ community, and at Haling Park Care Home in Croydon, we have had a month of Pride celebrations.

We ensured our home was the perfect backdrop for our Pride celebrations with rainbow decorations, flags, and balloons hanging around our home.

The residents kicked off celebrations by preparing some gorgeous handmade rainbow decorations with tissue paper in one of our arts & crafts sessions, which was kindly led by Andrea for Hearts and Crafts.

Another highlight of our month was our Pride Party with a special guest appearance Miss Dot Com, who put on a fabulous and entertaining show for us all. Residents thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment whilst indulging in sweets, cupcakes, fruit, and drinks.

Our residents have thoroughly enjoyed the variety of activities and events that we have held in celebration of Pride month, and we are delighted as a home to have taken part in recognising acceptance and equality.

At Haling Park Care Home, we appreciate each and every resident for the individual that they are and we go above and beyond to reflect this in both the care and lifestyle we provide to our residents.
