International Peace & Love Day

Friday 7th July is also known as 'International Peace & Love Day', a day dedicated to spreading positive energy worldwide.

At Haling Park Care Home, we are all about spreading positivity, love, and happiness among residents, relatives, staff, and in our wider local community.

Our take on 'International Peace & Love Day' was 60s themed, and to celebrate, we decorated the home with lots of rainbows and flower power banners and balloons and encouraged all to dress up in their most 60s style items.

The weather was also on our side, meaning we got to enjoy our itinerary of quizzes, games, and 60s music sing-alongs in our beautiful garden. Residents thoroughly enjoyed reminiscing about the 60s too and had lots of stories and past times to share with one another.

The mix of fresh air, sunshine, activities, and socialising with one another definitely spread happiness and positive energy throughout our home, and everyone was left smiling by the end of the day.
