Halloween at Haling Park

Halloween Decorations

The Haling Park residents had a wonderful time prepping for Halloween and put their artistic skills to good use. Residents had a go at pumpkin carving, painting tealights and making paper mache spiders.

We learned about the origins of Halloween and it is said to have originated from the ancient Celtic Festival called Samhain celebrated by Celts 2000 years ago. This festival is marked as the end of the harvest.

Parts of the home were spookily decorated which got everyone in the Halloween spirit. There was a delicious spread of food and drink available as well as plenty of sweet treats.

It was wonderful to see the residents having a fantastic time celebrating Halloween, with lots of games and arts & crafts sessions. We look forward to doing it all again next year.

We have lots of exciting things planned throughout November and December so keep an eye out on our Facebook page to see what our residents get up to.
