Haling Park Celebrates International Nurses’ Day

On the 12th of May 2022, it was International Nurses’ Day, and here at Haling Park, we wanted to make sure that all of our nurses were in for a big surprise! As a token of our appreciation, they were treated with live music, food, and gifts from all of the residents at Haling Park. Everyone was keen to get the party in full swing and really get the chance to celebrate alongside our incredible team of caregivers.

It was a truly spectacular afternoon for them, and it was amazing to be able to officially recognize all of our nurses for all the hard work they do. Collectively, our nurses have over 159 years' worth of experience between them, as well as a vast range of experiences in acute hospital settings that sets them apart.

Our team of nurses have lots of experience from all around the world, for example, we have some nurses whose experiences stem from Jamaica, and we have some nurses who have gained nursing know-how all the way on the Indian ocean shores of Sri Lanka. In fact, one of our nurses started in paediatric at the beginning of her career and now enjoys being a geriatric nurse as her career has progressed.

All our nurses have very special talents which include singing, cooking, modelling, decorating and many, many more. We would like to take this opportunity to say a big “thank you” to all of our wonderful nurses at Haling Park. They do a fantastic job of taking care of our residents and keeping them safe every single day.
