It’s been a truly memorable time for residents at Haling Park Care Home in South Croydon as they enjoyed a series of wonderful animal visits throughout the month. The home welcomed an array of adorable and fascinating creatures, bringing smiles, laughter, and a touch of nature to everyone’s day.

The excitement began with a visit from Karen’s Pets, who arrived with some utterly adorable lambs and fluffy chicks. Residents had the chance to stroke and cuddle the animals, creating heart-warming moments that sparked fond memories and plenty of conversation. The calming and joyful experience proved to be a hit with everyone involved.

Following this, the ZooLab team paid a visit, offering an interactive and educational encounter with a range of reptiles and exotic creatures. From snakes to giant African snails, residents showed incredible bravery as they held and observed these unique animals up close. The activity was not only entertaining but also provided an engaging way to learn about wildlife from around the world.

To top off the animal-themed fun, Haling Park was thrilled to welcome the Owl Sanctuary, who brought along some magnificent owls for residents to admire. The highlight for many, however, was a visit from a group of charming penguins, whose waddling antics and playful personalities left everyone smiling.

These activities were organised to create refreshing new experiences for the residents, offering them something out of the ordinary while supporting wellbeing and social interaction.
