Nursing Care

Nursing care is a type of care which is given to individuals who need continual medical care and personal care. Nursing care is provided for a range of care needs, including those with a long-term health condition or critical illness, or people living with physical disabilities as well as those seeking palliative care.

Our nursing home in South Croydon has an expert team of nurses and the most innovative nursing equipment to provide the best nursing care possible, and to ensure residents can live comfortably no matter what. Each resident has a dedicated nurse who becomes their main source of support and who will get to know everything there is about them.

Dementia Care

At Haling Park, we recognise the importance of providing a welcoming and calming atmosphere for our residents. The dementia team is highly trained and experienced to provide specialist dementia care. Dementia affects an individual’s ability to communicate, think and rationalise like they once used to. Many people can develop different symptoms, and the speed in which the condition progresses differs from person to person, therefore we understand that no two people are the same.

Our friendly care team gets to know residents with dementia to understand about their lives they have lived, as well as their likes and dislikes, strengths and weaknesses in order to incorporate this into their daily routines. A weekly activities programme is offered to all residents to ensure each day can be enjoyed to the fullest.

Respite Care

Respite Care is a form of care offered on a short-term basis and provided to individuals who are in need of professional care following an operation, illness or injury. Often if someone has been recently discharged from hospital, they need to take it easy before they resume their normal lifestyle.

People who are caring full-time for a loved one should use respite care as a way of getting a well-deserved break from their duties. Their loved ones will receive high-quality care from a compassionate team. Respite care can also be used to trial a care home for a few weeks, which allows potential residents to get first-hand experience before deciding to move in.

Providing Our Support

When searching for a care home for a loved one, it’s important to do your research in order to find the most suitable care home. It’s not always obvious to know which type of care someone would be best suited for, so speaking to a team of professionals is encouraged. The welcoming staff at Haling Park is here to help you through this period of stress and guide through the next steps for peace of mind. We understand that the level of care required for each resident is unique, therefore our care plans will be tailored to the individual.

Haling Park Care Home is regularly inspected by the care quality commission (CQC) who are an official public body that assess the quality of care in England health and care services. We are delighted to have been provided with a good rating by CQC, and relatives of residents can feel at ease knowing their loved ones are getting quality care and support at our care home.
